"Nest photography is a twilight zone in nature photography and is not done. Here is an exception that I want to share for once because it concerns very young chicks that do not jump (once out of the nest it is difficult if not impossible to put them back). I checked the nests of the 20+ nest boxes that used to be there, only three more have been found, all 3 occupied with young with great tits. The nest boxes were a project of the university but now either discontinued or moved to another forest. For hygienic reasons it is necessary to clean the boxes at the end of the breeding season was not done so that a nest is built above the old one.
